Vår samarbetspartner Skadeteknik presenterar assisterande coachen Bo Holden.
Tell us about your Futsal story
- I started coaching futsal in 2010 after having played the game myself for several years.
At the beginning I coached P14 and P15 and after that P19 and won medals at the danish championship.
In 2014 I joined JB Futsal Gentofte, and after 2 years as Assistant coach winning the championship, I took over as Head Coach. From 2017 until 2021 we won four consecutive danish championships and also we won Nordic Futsal Championship in 2018 in Denmark, and in 2019 in Örebro I have experience from coaching in Champions league where I have participated 6 times.
I serve as Analyst for the Danish National team, where I work with Nikolaj Saabye and the team, and my responsibility is normally to look for weeknesses and opportunities with the opponent team.
Youre assistant coach now, describe your philosophy as a coach and leader?
- Honesty and hard work are the first words that come into my mind.
If I give you my word, I will keep the promise and I will always try to deliver 100% and be responsible and accountable. And therefore, I believe, that I am in my good right to expect and demand the same from my players.
I want a high work ethic, and with that we can find the players who really want to learn and improve their futsal game, and after having identified the players, we can start to learn about each other and then progress and create results together.
I can be brutally honest with my sorroundings, and I believe that this approach is acceptable in an elite environment where we fight for championships and medals. We are here to win and improve, and the experience the coaching staff can bring to the team must help ÖFC achieve this.
On the floor, I want to see good decisions and I want to see progress in the players. In futsal, mistakes are impossible not to make, but I want to see that we learn from our mistakes and get more and more futsal wise from game to game. To deliver 100% everytime we meet is also something I will never ask from, I simply expect it :-)
What do you think about your first time in ÖFC?
- I really enjoy ÖFC so far, the club is well run, has a lot of staff to help with everything and the facilities are fantastic. The players are also amazinbg, a lot of different guys, but all are amazing to be around, and clear to all of us that they want to learn and improve their game.
Why did you except the challange to coach ÖFC?
- After my stop at JB Futsal Gentofte in April, I have coached football, and for quite some time I have thought of the idea of getting to learn the swedish futsal better, and when Saabye asked me to help, I thought it was a crazy, but also a fantastic opportunity .
Anything else you want to say?
- Thanks for the warm welcome we have had, and please come to the arena and support the team, and enjoy the wonderful game of futsal!
Vi önskar Bo Holden varmt välkommen till Örebro Futsal Club och önskar stort lycka till!
